What does discretionary management mean?|全權委託代表甚麼?
Following client assessment and a written agreement and mandate, the investment manager may make day-to-day investment decisions within that mandate without seeking instructions for each trade. Investment scope, limits, fees and termination arrangements depend on the agreement. Capital and returns are not guaranteed.
Who holds the assets?|資產由誰持有?
Under an EAM(外部資產管理) arrangement, assets are generally held through the client’s account with a bank or broker, while the manager manages investments within the mandate. Account ownership, custody, withdrawal authority and asset protection must be confirmed in the formal documents. No relationship with a particular bank is implied.
